Mill Road Winter Fair 2022 will be on Saturday, 03 December 2022.
Mill Road will be closed to traffic (including all cyclists) from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM from East Road to Coleridge Road.
Every first Saturday of December each year, Mill Road is taken over by pedestrians. Merchants put up their stalls, while community organisations and small companies in the area sell handcrafted goods, presents, and refreshments. Buskers, circus performers, dancers, and storytellers perform at various locations along Mill Road to entertain attendees.
This Fair is a celebration of Mill Road community that takes place along Mill Road in Cambridge. Mill Road is said to be the most diverse road in Cambridge. The local companies and organizations, shops and stallholders, musicians, artists, and dancers all come together for one day of festive fun at the Fair, which is typically held on the first Saturday of December.

Expect a lot of people walking along Mill Road and there will be stalls of foods & crafts along the street.
People come forward every year to the Fair to voluntarily showcase their talents, whether it be music, singing, dancing, theatre, story-telling, or Tai Chi. These performances will be seen live in a variety of spots along Mill Road from East Road to Coleridge Road, these locations provide both busking and live music performances.
A variety of food and drink vendors, as well as market and artisan booths, will be located in Donkey Common.
You will be able to get a good conversation with the firemen as the fire engine will be stationed nearby on Mortimer Road.
In addition to the enigmatic and meditative labyrinth, Petersfield Green will include vendors selling food and drink, as well as handmade goods.
The ARU Drama Centre will be in Covent Garden, there will be film screenings running continuously throughout the whole day.
At 11:30 in the morning and 2:00 in the afternoon, there will be tours of the Mill Road Cemetery.
The Mill Road History Society will also lead a history tour beginning at 8:45 in the morning.
At Ditchburn Place, there will be live band playing in the garden and food stall with freshly cooked burgers, hot dogs and chips. They usually have homemade mulled wine stall but you have to bring your own mug to get your mulled wine a bit cheaper, otherwise, you may have to buy your own ceramic mug from them. Regular cups of tea, coffee and chocolate drinks are also available. You can also use their toilets for a small change as a donation. Ditchburn Place is a disable-friendly building owned by Cambridge City Council.
Activities will take place in the Cambridge Mosque, which is located on Mawson Road.
At the Salvation Army Centre on Tenison Road/Mill Road, there will be an indoor children’s venue, as well as live music, refreshments, indoor booths, and yoga upstairs.
The food market will take place on St. Barnabas Road as well as at the car park located on Gwydir Street.
There will be live music and games for children in St. Barnabas Church. There will also be additional activities for children to the rear of the church in the St. Barnabas Centre, as well as down the step next to the bridge at Railway House. In addition to this, there will be activities taking place in the Bath House and in the grounds of the David Parr House.
Great Eastern Street will be the location of the Cambridge Community Circus.
The Argyle Street Housing Co-op, which is just across the street, will have a live band and market booths.
Cambridge 105 will be broadcasting live from the former Tesco store.
There will be stewards wearing hi-vis with Mill Road Winter Fair on the back, they are very friendly, approachable and always available to assist.
